A Quick Summary of My Life as Vanessa Joy Chandler
For eleven years as a child I lived in Malawi and Kenya, Africa, which catapulted me into an international life of travel and adventure by the time I was 21, not only in Africa, but also Central America and Europe.
I managed to study early on as well, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Literature, certification in teaching social science, English literature, English as a Second Language, and received awards in entrepreneurship, music and leadership.
In my 30s I was involved in 3 start-up ventures and eventually founded my own niche book publishing company in northern California.
During this time, I was a ghostwriter, editor and publisher of numerous books and articles featured on the Washington Post, Fox News, The Eric Metaxas Show and Focus on the Family.
At the age of 39, I realized a long-awaited dream of marrying my best friend, and at 40, moving to Europe.
I live with my husband, Florian, in a small German village surrounded by the forests that inspired Grimm’s fairy tales and the vineyards that supply the country’s best wine. I love to explore castles, hike, travel, read, inspire others, spend quality time with family and friends, and assist Florian in gourmet cooking.
Many of us seek significance this side of eternity. I’m no different. Like so many others, I long to be known. I long for significance through my written words, words that express the deepest meditations of my mind and heart in a way that—at least for me—speaking cannot.
